Nausheena is the Executive Director and founder of Reviving the Islamic Sisterhood for Empowerment (RISE), a non-profit organization that equips women with the necessary skills to engage and participate in civil life, become part of the solution-creating decision making process, and improve society as a whole. She’s a social justice activist who seeks to amplify the voice and power of her Muslim sisters and create gender equity through sisterhood, storytelling and public policy. Nausheena also holds an MBA from the U of M’s Carlson School of Management, a certificate in Social Entrepreneurship from Stanford University and is a 2016 Bush Leadership Fellow. Amanda has spent her career in the creative field - first at nationally renowned advertising agencies and then bringing creativity to the “inside-out” by leading marketing departments for some of Minnesota’s largest companies. Currently she is Chief Brand and Creative Officer at Deluxe and the creator and host of the ‘Small Business Revolution - Main Street’ a critically acclaimed documentary series that shares the journey Amanda and her team go on to help small towns transform through their small business community (streaming on HULU and at www.smallbusinessrevolution.org). Vanessa is an educator, activist, blogger and stylist — among many other amazing things. A true woman-about-town in the Twin Cities, she contributes her time and passion to many community endeavors, such as serving as VP of the African American Interpretive Center of MN and as a committee member for KFAI Radio-sponsored International Women’s Day. So far in 2018, Vanessa has kicked off an ambitious podcast project entitled “Don’t Touch My Podcast,” a take on movie reviews and pop culture, co-hosted with her husband, Chris. A true Minnesota icon, you may best remember Robyne Robinson from her 20 year career as an Emmy-winning news journalist and anchor at Fox9 News. The first African American to anchor a prime time newscast in Minnesota, Robyne was also the original creator and producer of KMSP’s local A&E segment “The Buzz” — which, among other things, landed her several coveted interviews with Prince. Robyne currently holds the position of Consulting Director for Arts @ MSP and Alliance Architects, overseeing visual and performing arts, as well public commissions at the MSP International Airport. She was a Democratic candidate for Lieutenant Governor in 2010, and as an entrepreneur, runs an arts consulting firm, fiveXfive, in addition to designing her own line of jewelry, ROX Minneapolis (which is sold across the US as well as in Greece and London).

Heather is the global marketing communications strategist within the Healthcare Division of 3M, a position that brought her inside one of the world’s recognized brands after 13 years leading client teams at a variety of agencies. She spends her days helping nurses discover how 3M products fit into their spectrum of care, and helps 3M fuel strategic discussions about the importance of science to deliver care and better the patient experience. Who knew 3M was about more than Post-It notes and Scotch Tape?

Her favorite artist: Kate Winslet (“I think acting is a significant and complex art form, and Kate immerses herself in every role to paint the picture of the character she is playing”)

Three words that describe your personal style: statement, dynamic, shoes (“ALL the shoes”)
